News Feed
Corpus Infinitum as a whole is now live, and new players are more than welcome to join!
The game is currently in active development, with new content and improvements being worked on regularly. I am currently updating descriptions for existing areas, refining user ability descriptions, and even revisiting some of the iconography used throughout the site.
The World
You are an Anima, a disembodied soul drawn from the Mare Genetrix, able to act only through a Corpus:
a vessel of arcane force, living tissue, and engineered parts. A Corpus is not a hero's body. It is an anchor, a vessel, and often a compromise.
The world is grim, gothic, and bio-mechanical. At Stitch Matrices, half operating theatre and half shrine,
bodies are taken apart and rebuilt as a matter of routine. When a Corpus collapses, it is reassembled and forced onward.
The process is not merciful: hunger is constant, survival is temporary, and failure is never clean.
From the Developer
Corpus Infinitum is a solo project inspired by the work of Vael Victus, Tinydark as a whole,
and my own love/hate relationship with pretty much any media related to body horror.
The core idea is that you, the player, aren't bound to a single corporeal form. Instead, the gameplay loop is built around acquiring
increasingly powerful limbs and grafting them onto your body, reshaping your Corpus as you go.
You can augment yourself for raw physical power, gradually replacing your body with more and more mechanized parts.
Or you can pursue the arcane, favoring limb enhancements that grow your magical strength instead.
You can even try to strike a balance between the two — trading access to the highest tier powers of either path for greater overall versatility.
Please keep in mind that this whole project is a work in progress and will experience changes of content and styling.
